Everyone can sing.

Seriously.

But maybe you want to be a great singer. (Hey, me too! It’s a lifelong journey, friend.)

Here’s what I know: the core of amazing musical theater performance lies at a messy, beautiful, exciting intersection . . .

THE YOU-NESS OF YOU

  • Your unique voice and perspective on the world

  • Your technique and training

  • Your access to imagination, freedom, and presence

GIVEN CIRCUMSTANCES

  • The scene and the story

  • The words and music you’ve been given

  • How you navigate the moment you’re in — both in the story and in reality

“I call myself a singer because of Casey.”

I've coached hundreds of students at all ages and experience levels for everything from final Broadway callbacks to their very first voice lesson. My students represent the hardest working and most in-demand performers on Broadway, national tours, and regional theater, as well as passionate amateurs.

I believe in "telling the truth on pitch", that singing should feel easy, and that everyone has it in them to be an artist.

Lessons with me include:

  • Learning solid vocal technique to support a lifetime of healthy and happy singing in all styles and genres.

  • Choosing audition material, arranging cuts, etc.

  • Making bold, honest acting choices.

  • And coaching the “whole person”: addressing nervous system activation, taking artistic risks, developing professionalism and resiliency, staying grounded—and keeping it fun!

I currently have extremely limited availability for new clients.

If you’re interested, drop me a line here and tell me about yourself!

  • “To say that Casey is phenomenal at what she does would be an understatement. Having been a student of Casey’s for almost three years, getting to learn from and witness, firsthand, her incredible wisdom, graciousness, talent, patience, and never ending positive energy is nothing short of a gift. She creates such a safe space to try new things, make mistakes, and reach towards heights never even thought possible. She makes the effort to ensure that her students feel confident and comfortable with what they are doing which allows them to grow in their technique and expand their artistry. When asked about who to study with in NYC, the absolute first person I think of is Casey! She is there for her students every step of the way pushing them to be better with her caring and inspiring nature!”

Gabriela Hernandez, Pace University musical theater student

  • “There aren’t enough words in the dictionary to even begin explaining Casey as a teacher, as a mentor, as an artist, but most importantly as a friend and human. Casey has an incredible way of connecting with her students that brings out undiscovered confidence and creates an honest and genuine relationship with your music. I’ve never really felt confident in my voice which held me back in auditions, being primarily a dancer. The biggest mistake I’ve made was not coming to study with her sooner; when I did, it was the best career move I’ve ever made. I can now walk into auditions ready and eager to sing and that’s all due to Casey. She transforms people because of her authentic way of caring for her students as a mentor and inspiration. She has forever changed my life and career. RUN TO STUDY WITH HER. Don’t walk. ”

  • “Casey really is a one stop shop. As an Equity performer herself, she understands the ins and outs of performance and auditioning—she is a fine musician, an arranger, a vocal coach, a voice teacher, a mentor, an audition “therapist” for my kids, a talented performance coach on songs and sides—and most importantly, a funny, kind, and generous soul to my children. They love her even more than I do!”

Mindy Poon, mother of Sam Poon (Sing Street, The King and I, Macbeth, Les Miserables), Ellie Poon (A Christmas Story), and William Poon (The King and I, Beauty and the Beast)

  • "Starting voice lessons with Casey last year literally changed the game for me!! Predominantly a “dancer”, she’s helped me transform my voice into something I could’ve never dreamed of, helping me expand my range and my mindset to conquer any material/song that was in front of me. She’s highly educated in all things voice; she’s kind, funny, thorough and welcoming in her teaching. She makes it comfortable to play and learn. This audition season was an enjoyable and successful one for the first time because of the work I’ve done with Casey. I am also a dance educator, whose vocal demand is intense aside from performing and she has helped me navigate and have better vocal health in my own teaching. I could not thank her enough for the focus and love she’s given me and my voice. I call myself a singer now because of Casey. "
